Prof. Pei-Yuan QIAN, the vice president of the Global Chinese Marine Biologists Association, was invited to the 2024 0cean Decade Conference to contribute in a panel discussion regarding “How can a Healthy Ocean Improve Human Health & Enhance Well being on a Rapidly Changing Planet?” . Prof. QIAN expressed his views on “Deep-sea Actions for Sustainable Ocean Development”, and the panel raised critical issues that need to be solved through the Ocean Decade, laying a scientific foundation for the early realization of the goals of the United Nations Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development (2021-2030).
